    Swedish death metal band

    Unleashed is a Swedish death metal band that was formed in by Johnny Hedlund in Stockholm. Common lyrical themes found in the band's music include Viking culture, recollection of a pre-Christian world, and Norse folklore. A number of their recent songs also contain references to J. R. R. Tolkien. Unleashed (along with Dismember, Entombed and Grave) is considered one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal.[1][2]

    Unleashed was founded in by vocalist and bassist Johnny Hedlund. Unleashed recorded demos "Revenge" and "Utter Dark", which got them a record deal with the German label Century Media Records. In , the band released their debut studio album, Where No Life Dwells, and toured with Morbid Angel in Europe and the US.

    Johnson's forthcoming memoir was announced in January [1] He received a £, advance.[2] The title, Unleashed, and UK and US publication dates on 10 and 15 October were announced in June [3][4][5] Excerpts were published in the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday on the weekend of 27–29 September.[6]
