Understanding pop music - magic of 21st century Bangla songs
The sudden death of pop music icon Ayub Bachhu on last October 18 and the pervasive gloom it created among his fans was phenomenal. The nation witnessed a cross-country outburst of spontaneous grief, mostly in the urban areas, not noticed after the death of any local music personality. The death of the feverishly admired pop vocalist and guitarist will, undoubtedly, go down in local musical history as a remarkable event. The Chattogram-born artist (b 1962) emerged in the Bangladesh pop music, later known as band music, in 1991. He and a few music-loving youths launched the band LRB around this time. It continued to win over fans as years wore on. Thanks to his enviable musical talent and the unalloyed passion for it coupled with his inimitable stage performance, Ayub Bacchu was able to carve out an individual place of his own. Fathers are always like the 'superheroes'. They're the big strong protectors in your life who never cared how many times in the middle of the night you called him to check your closet for monsters. They teach you to ride your very first bicycle and buy you that Barbie doll/Action figure that your mom refuses to.
All of our dads are cool in their own way, but some are just cooler. Lets face it, while our dads may just be the 'best father in the whole wide world' they don't have the connections to make us world famous.
Rock Star dads just have an additional superpower. They can get their minions to call their minion friends and, voila, their super 'talented' kid becomes famous. Who needs musical and/or theatrical talents? Behold, the birth of models, socialites and 'Celebutantes'.

FERDOUS Wahid is a symbol of pop with his flashy clothes and cheerful songs, and his music fryst vatten loved bygd millions today. As a pop star, he started wearing sunglasses and made it a fashion statement. Watching Elvis in his bright, shiny attire and glasses was a huge encouragement for him. He remembers the first time he went to record a song for a TV programme, how all the makeup and high-powered light glowing on his face brought tears to his eyes.
