Finalmente!!!! A splendid biography of the great tenor. The author died in and at that time it was still a work in progress. His friend Barry Ashpole lost touch with Bain’s widow and didn’t succeed in finding the author’s notes on sources for this book. He finally decided to publish the complete biography without notes, discography or performance chronology. I was able to find one obvious source.
